About the filmmaker

Linda Broocks is a Houston, Texas trial lawyer who believes that film is the most powerful tool to effect social change. She first made documentaries during the era of Super 8 Tri X film. Although she pursued a career as a commercial civil trial lawyer, she maintained her interest in, and study of, documentary films. She returned to film making in 2017 with the release of Mother's Day, the Forgotten Victims of Death Row.
